Det er med stor skam at meddele at Artillery netop har mistet sin trommeslager, Carsten Kjær Nielsen

Pressemeddelse.
Af personlige årsager har jeg valgt at forlade det danske Thrash Metal Band ARTILLERY. Det er noget jeg har tænkt over i en længere periode. Beslutningen er truffet og gutterne er blevet informeret og jeg kan meddele, at de sidste shows jeg spiller med ARTILLERY bliver:
April 28 – Barroselas, Portugal @ SWR Barroselas Metalfest (15th edition)
May 03 – Heavy Agger, …Denmark @ Agger
May 04 – Lions and Barrels, Denmark @ Copenhagen
(will be celebrating our 30th birthday for Artillery)
May 05 – Wuustweeze, Belgium @ Puntpop 2012
May 25 – Baltimore, MD USA @ Maryland Death Fest X
May 26 – New York, NY USA @ Saint Vitus Bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn
May 30 – Buenos Aires, Argentina @ Astbury Argentina
May 31 – Santiago, Chile @ Teatro Teleton
Jun 01 – Belo Horizonte, Brazil @ Music Hall
Jun 02 – São Paulo, Brazil @ Hangar 110

Til alle de søde mennesker jeg har mødt igennem min tid i ARTILLERY vil jeg bare sige en kæmpe stor tak til, jeg vil aldrig glemme den gode modtagelse og respons jeg har fået.
Jeg vil efter det sidste show, tage en lille slapper og så vil jeg nok prøve at vende tilbage til mine rødder og finde nogle gutter i københavnsområdet, som vil spille noget god gammeldags Punk Rock sammen med mig..

Carsten er en gut der uden tvivl kan sit kram på tønderne, så husk at få oplevet ham med Artillery inden det er for sent!
Resten af Artillery fortsætter uden Carsten, men en afløser er endnu ikke blevet annonceret.

“We’re proud to reveal, that, for the first time ever, Artillery is going to the U.S.! Artillery will play dates in both New York City and at the Maryland Death Fest between 25th and 27th of may 2012. The tour will continue together with Exumer towards South America, playing in Argentina, Chile and Brazil. In addition to this, the band will play on the “Barge to Hell” cruise ship from Miami, Florida to the Bahamas Dec 2012. 2012 also marks the 30th anniversary for Artillery – a party will be held at Kings and Lions in Copenhagen at the 4th of may with special guests and prizes etc.The gig at Lions and Barrels will also be the last Danish gig with founder member Carsten Nielsen who have decided to leave the band for personal reasons just after the South American tour.
Artillery is a danish thrash metal band with roots in the metal scene of the early 80’s. Having headbanged with Metallica and Mercyful Fate in their joint rehearsal in the early days, having toured the USSR inside the iron curtain (and exported by the KGB), having gigs on Wacken, Bang your head, Roskilde festival, Copenhell, Rock hard, Keep it true and MTV Headbanger’s Ball – and finally but not least six critically acclaimed studio albums behind them, these old boys shows that you don’t have to be young and fresh to thrash’n’roll!”
